Makiba Craft Workshop

A relaxation space with hammocks arranged in a white sand area lined with parasols. You can feel the breeze blowing through Makiba Park while leisurely resting your body.
It's a popular rest spot where visitors can unwind just by gazing at the sky and swaying gently.

Hammock Resort

An activity where you board a passenger car pulled by a large tractor and leisurely tour the majestic scenery of the pasture. The exhilaration of moving while feeling the breeze and the expansive views unique to grasslands are its attractions. Through in-vehicle guidance, you can also gain small insights into dairy farming and grazing. Since it allows you to casually experience the scale of the farm, it's popular with both children and adults.


Farm Tractor Ride

An activity where you ride a pedal cart along a approximately 350m course and patrol a small pasture area.
You can enjoy the patrol while taking in pastoral scenery such as hay bales and windmill hills.

Farm Patrol

An archery experience that even beginners can enjoy right away, as staff carefully teach you from the proper stance.
Both adults and children get absorbed in it, and it becomes even more exciting when competing with friends!

Park Shuttle Bus "Moo Moo Number"

A program using a Nikon 20cm large refraction telescope that allows you to safely observe sunspots and prominences that are invisible to the naked eye. It's well-received as a valuable learning experience where you can witness the dynamic appearance of the sun, which is a familiar celestial body.

Solar Observation Session

A mini game where you can experience the story that shepherds rolling stones is said to be the root of golf.
Enjoy this traditional game while competing scores in a farm atmosphere.

A spot where you can lie down and enjoy the scenery and tranquility with a view of Mount Iwate beyond the pasture where sheep graze. Wood chips are laid at your feet, and the natural fragrance wafts gently.
When you surrender your body and lie down, you'll be enveloped by a pleasant breeze and the openness unique to Koiwai Farm, allowing you to spend a leisurely time.

Galaxy Rolling Net

A popular animal interaction program where you can feed horses with gentle eyes up close. You can see the horses slowly approach and watch their delighted expressions as they eat, experiencing the warmth of animals.

Horse's Munch Time

A program that provided a heartwarming time where visitors could watch care staff give snacks to sheep. In a pastoral setting, the sight of sheep gathering together is endearing and photogenic, receiving positive feedback.

Sheep's Snack Time! (Viewing)

A classical horse-drawn carriage experience leisurely touring the farm. A popular activity where you can gently tour the farm while being pulled by calm horses.
It recreates the horse-drawn railway that served as transportation within the farm for half a century from 1904. The original railway tracks are being reused.

Dog Run

A learning facility that clearly displays the history of development, the advancement of dairy farming, coexistence with nature, the 130+ year journey of Koiwai Farm and its current operations, cultural properties within the farm, and connections with Kenji Miyazawa. It features materials, photographs, and models that can be enjoyed by all generations.

Koiwai Farm Museum

A gallery where you can enjoy learning about 21 nationally designated important cultural properties and the history of the farm through videos and interactive exhibits. You can also experience the historical background with the latest digital technology.
